2017 Venice Music and Art Immersion

Group photo – 2016 Venice Immersion

The 2017 IGE Venice Immersion unfolds against the backdrop of The 57th International Art Exhibition known as the Biennale, and this year titled Viva Arte Viva. The Biennale, the world’s most  prestigious and extensive showcase of modern art, takes over Venice with curated exhibitions from 85 nations. Expect to be overwhelmed by the inspiration of the myriad artists who devote two years to creation of masterworks. Whether in the permanent exposition grounds of the Arsenale and Giardini, or throughout the Venetian lagoon in all manner of spaces, from galleries to palazzos, boat houses to gardens, rooftops to subterranean warrens, the boundless mind boggling installations will forever shift your point of view.

Each exclusive immersion draws together dynamic multi-genre assemblages of internationally eminent artists, musicians, music fans and arts patrons. Daytimes are spent exploring the beautiful neighborhoods of Venice, visiting neighboring islands such as Murano Burano and taking in astounding modern art installations at the Biennale grounds and throughout Venice. Our nights are spent enjoying performances and jam sessions with our musical ambassadors in our palazzos and at various venues through Venice.

Our community inhabits a Venetian neighborhood. IGE’s proximate, utterly elegant canalside accommodations are set about adjoining campos Sant’ Angelo and Sant’ Stefano. The Palazzo D’Angeli, former home of Lord Byron and IGE headquarters, is in Sant’ Angelo.

With IGE’s Italian partners, visiting international artists in residence, and local friends, immersion participants bring direct benefit to Venetian non-profits, the city and its people. Unlike most travelers who take what they wish and move on, IGE Music and Art immersion participants give, of course all while having the times of their lives and earning a substantial tax deduction.
